The greatest lesson learned was to never give up. I believe that this was the greatest thing that was taken from the story because the old Man never gives up on fishing. He tries and tries to catch a fish but is not successful for 84 days. He hasn't given up and keeps pursuing on catching a fish. He keeps pursuing on catching a Fish

Isolation is a good theme for this story because the Old Man is not really around other people and does not communicate with the outside world as in the community. But the old man always thought of her as feminine and as something that gave or withheld great favours, and if she did wild or wicked things it was because she could not help them. Conclusion. I think that the story was written very well. I believe that the author made a good point and made the story seem like it was a real life thing that happened.
