Charlene Vincent at the age of 24, has been in the funeral services business four years and counting. Being an administrative assistant at Ross-Roden funeral home has not been easy for her. Due to her lack of knowledge of this profession, being straight out of high school and in need of employment. A fellow sister of the church she attended informed her that her sibling was looking to hire at Ross-Roden. That’s when her new work journey commenced not being able to look at dead body’s without envisioning someone she knew past away, and having bad dreams. It was more like a family then an establishment. A unity in getting what you need done and forwarding to the right person to assist you. The website of Ross-oden and their versatile services is real. Being able to make funeral arrangements for yourself before you past is pretty cool. Not leave that burden or last minute stress where your going to be viewed, what color flowers or further arrangements can be done while you’re alive. Helping you get funds for a family member that past such as social security death benefits or for a veteran. Personalization of that person’s photos, transportation or carrying out last minute wishes on where their final placement will be. Ross-Roden seems like a great place to work based on the atmosphere and the work unity. But it’s not my cup of tea I don’t like funerals at all. I’m a very emotional person when it comes to death so dealing with individuals in a funeral home won’t work for me but it gave me better insight on any of my friends that would be interested to work with the decease. It does take a great deal of strength to deal with different personalities especially when they are grieving you got angry personalities extreme emotional people that want to argue in the middle of a viewing. It takes special kind a person to deescalate those
