Nevaeh's POV

"Welcome to Riverton, Maine." My mom said to my brother and I. It has been my 4th time moving away from my friends since I was at least 14.

"You guys are going to love the place Your Father and I picked out. It is amazing!" My mom's Perkiness made me want to stab myself. How could she do this? Keep moving from town to town and state to state?

He smirked and said "Of course m'lady. Sorry for that I was just jogging and I slowed downed when I noticed someone bought the property here." His sweaty body didn't help me at all it literally made me wet and melt on the inside. "Do you live here?" He asked

"Uh... Yes, I do!" Instantly I started my eyes down his body until I noticed a slight bulge In his shorts. I blushed and came up with an excuse " I'm sorry but I have a few things to do before school tomorrow." "If you mind can I know your name?" He asked me with that smolder look on his face "Nevaeh." When I heard the news we were moving to Spearfish, South Dakota, which I had never heard of, I was wondering what kind of place it was. I am from the small town of Wall, South Dakota which unless you’re talking about a village, is pretty small. When I heard the news I wondered what kind of place a town called Spearfish might look like.…

When I moved to Orlando, Florida, I was twelve years old. I did not know what to expect when it came to the Orlando weather, their school system or their people. My mom called me one day when I was on my way home from school and told me we would be moving, at the time I did not know where we were moving to, but I knew I was not going to be okay with moving away from my neighborhood friends who I have been friends with since the second grade. Once I came home, the majority of our house was already in boxes and I refused to pack any of my belongings because at the time I did not want to accept the fact that we were moving to an entire different state.…

Blues, classical, pop, and any other kind of music that caught my attention filled my head with notes of strife and peace, with passion and apathy, with every other emotion imaginable running amuck through the mind of a seventh grader. Noise filled the empty hours of everyday, and kept my mind occupied, which was my sole defense against the depressive thoughts trying to leach their cold fingers through my mind. Music started as an innocent hobby, but soon crept throughout my whole life. My first season with the Waterford Wildcat Pride Marching Band was doomed for failure from month one.…

When people realize they have to leave everything they have known, loved and cared for twelve thousand miles away from them the impact is so great. Some people think it was easy for me to move from Australia to America, but really it is difficult to forget about. When someone moves from one house to another they don’t usually leave the country where their family, friends and memories are. As for me, in 2011 my family and I traveled to the United States to look for a house to live in. My dad was offered a new job but the catch was that we had to move.…
