My desire to pursue neuroscience stems from my interest of biological sciences coupled with the complications that rest within the human brain. The goal I have with neuroscience is to procure the reasons as to why individuals feel certain emotions or have particular thought processes. The Neuroscience program at Virginia Tech’s College of Science provides an array of opportunities for me to pursue my future goals. The program bestows students with the ability to perform undergraduate research, working in labs and focusing on tackling pressing medical problems, including autism, ALS, and Alzheimer’s. The business’s focal point is to deliver various medical tests to patients (MRI, CT scans) at a significantly lower cost, while receiving the utmost, immaculate care. In order for these business aspirations to come to fruition, I will pursue a business minor alongside a neuroscience major. I particularly admire how Virginia Tech gives students the ability to crossover their interests between many schools, since a business minor is open to all students, not those specifically in the Pamplin School of Business.
