There is a member of the women’s soccer team that has an undiagnosed exercised induced disease. She has been to a vast amount of doctors and the only thing they have been able to do is to rule out seizures. With the resident neurologist’s approval, I spoke with the family members to understand the timeline of events while he managed the patient’s CT scan. In my opinion, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis disorder does not only effect hundreds of victims every year, but additionally burdens families and friends. People who are diagnosed with (ALS) can either proceed into two routes: active euthanasia in consideration that they may not have long to live even with treatment, or they could embrace the illness and engage in hospice, home care where they should utilize therapists specialized in speech, nutrition, and respiratory. I firmly believe that a necessity for people who invest time and commitment to prolonging their lives as much as possible must have a supportive system of personal relationships whether with family, friends, or even their care team; this social environment, mentally, emotionally,…
