Neurofibromatosis was first described by Von Recklinghausen in1882. Due to this discovery of the disease it was given the alias von Recklinghausen disease but was later identified as a neurological disease that affected the nerves. What is neurofibromatosis?
Neurofibromatosis is a monogenic disease that causes nervous system to grow tumours. There are three types. One of which is extremely rare but also very dangerous if develops. The three types are, in order of commonness, NF1 ,NF2, Schwannomatosis.
