This is because they would use it for the prediction of future violent actions to tell how long to place someone in jail, or to prevent that individual from committing a crime. Now, there can be many issues with having neuro prediction in the legal system; one of those being what we learn about one’s biological process. More than wanted could come up in the results of the test; including if they will get a serious illness. Would that affect if or how long to put one in prison? Another issue could be if someone takes that information and uses it for other than what is done in the courtroom. The movie is set in a future society where they have the technology to predict when, where, and who committed a crime; and then arresting that person before the crime is even committed. Think of that frustration one would have if they got arrested before they did anything. Another examples is one that was mentioned before; the movie Divergent. In the movie, it is also set in a future society where they give teenagers an aptitude test to determine where they belong. They are put into different groups depending on their test.
