The computer keeps the connection settings, just as Wi-Fi is activated once the computer recognizes the Wi-Fi signal and connects automatically each time.
Cons
More and more users are using the Internet than ever before. With all of these users on a network, bandwidth is being consumed at a very high level. People are using applications such as video chatting, cloud computing, and other network applications which requires, so much data and it results in a lot of network traffic. Can the Wi-Fi medium handle this much traffic? The demands of a large number of users attempting to access a Wi-Fi network at once can tax the bandwidth capacity of the network, causing outages. The transmission speed for Wi-Fi networks can also be slow, especially for users located far away from the router. The signal is also subject to interference, especially during bad weather. In addition to bad weather Wi-Fi can be interfere with other variables such as household electronics: cordless phones, microwave oven, or baby monitor, Bluetooth device. (Six Wi-Fi Blocks) Another potential problem Wi-Fi has to overcome has to be the range. Wi-Fi networks have limited range.

Amped Wireless
Looking at the charts above the range is not the only problem that Wi-Fi has to face especially comparing to hardwiring the other problem is speed. When a device is hardwired that device is usually getting 1Gbps speed unless there is a 10/100 NIC installed. Wi-Fi has made great strides to
