Yes, the tests were appropriate for this study that was performed. The study was assessing neonatal neurobehavioral organization after exposure to maternal epidural analgesia in labor vs. neonatal neurobehavioral in infants with no exposure to epidural. The test performed for this was the t-test for the continuous variables, such as maternal age. The Chi-Square was also used for categorical variables such as infant gender, and the ANOVA was used to compare the man number of sucks of three medication groups (un-medicated, low dose, and high dose). The Mann-Whitney U test was used to examine the differences between the no medication and epidural groups.
