The Neo Babylonians were famous for their Hanging Gardens. The Hanging Gardens were mentioned by the Greek writers who said that they were “Terraced Gardens filled with exotic plants,” and they were claimed to be part of the seven wonders of the world. Nebuchadnezzar is credited for creating the hanging gardens for his wife. She longed for the green countryside of her homeland. Archeologists have found likely sites for the gardens but have no proof that they actually existed. It was probably a myth because there was also no Babylonian account of them. The second dynasty of Babylon was overthrown in 555 BCE. Nabonidus was made king after the former, Labashi-Marduk, was murdered. He was devoted to the god of sin and was forced to exile in Arabia,
