One of the world’s earliest and most successful leaders is King Suleiman the Magnificent. He exhibited a variety of leadership traits including his unmatchable military knowledge. Kanuni, name given to him by his people, used his military assets to overcome empires and cities such as Belgrade, Rhodes, and Greek soldiers. Suleiman was admired by all as he was not only a fearless military ruler, but also a humble educated leader that according to Jane Simmons “He was interested in learning, art, architecture, and the law.” By acknowledging his love to learn, it is understandable on how Suleiman was able to lead his people for not only power-hungry reasons, but to educate and further benefit of his empire. …show more content…
Nelson Mandela had an historical election, as it was the first election in which all Africans could vote. “Mandela, candidate of the African National Congress (ANC), won a landslide victory.” His victory was historical due to the cooperation between white and black South Africans. The aspiration for his leadership qualities further benefited his fight for freedom when he was arrested in 1962. Mandela used all possible opportunities while in prison to speak out against white domination in his country. Nelson Mandela was released in 1990, and after working with President de Klerk, the two won a Nobel Peace Prize for finding a way to end
