Nelson Mandela Research Paper

Nelson Mandela was born on July 18, 1918 in a small town called Mvezo which is located in the continent of South Africa.(pages 1-5) When Nelson was around 16 years old, he had to generate into the African traditional circumcision to show his new sign of becoming a man. An uncircumcised man couldn’t receive any of their father’s wealth or better yet money, they couldn’t marry at tribal rituals or even take the lead at any traditional rituals. The traditional rituals in South Africa which I heard are very important to the African culture. In the year of 1939, Nelson enrolled into a collage called the University of Fort Hare which basically sums up as the only higher learning collage for blacks in South Africa.(biography.com) Nelson Mandela was the actual first South African President in the year of 1994. Mandela was forcefully expelled from the collage because he quit and gave up his position as student representative council. He could only come back if he took the position back. Nelson became very passionately involved in the anti-apartheid movement, which for this reason he decided to get involved with the African National Congress in the year of 1942.(History.com) The congress’s goal was to create and renovate the ANC into a massive grass roots movement. He started a sabotage campaign against the government. In the year of 1962 in January, he traveled illegally to attend a conference in Ethiopia but once he got arrested because he left the country and inciting a 1961 worker’s strike so he got sentenced for 5 years in prison.(biography.com) Nelson Mandela and on of his Partners kindly were asked to accept an award that has been given to many people around the world called Nobel Peace Prize and they accepted.
