Neisseria Gonorrhoeae Pathogen Analysis

In 2013, more than 1.2 million Americans were diagnosed with a sexually transmitted disease by the name of Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Men and women between the ages of 13-64 receive this pathogen that is caused by oral and or anal sexually actions. The most common route for a pathogen to attach to the host would be through the respiratory or gastrointestinal tract, and through cuts or punctured skin. These types of routes through the body causes Neisseria gonorrhoeae to infect the host. Most of the microbes will enter the host causing disease to occur, from that same host and eventually spread the disease throughout the body, developing new hosts. Neisseria gonorrhoeae is not just a STD, by sexual orientation, it can also be transmitted by numerous amounts of sex partners and drug abuse. The pathogen is more present in low-being and low-income homes and communities. These sort of neighborhoods have more of a high chance of contracting an STD then would a high-income community. The pain and suffering from this disease is produced by high sexual behaviors but, with low health-care seeking, which causes poverty and sickness. Antimicrobial resistance is a successful treatment once the Neisseria gonorrhoeae has reached its highest peak.
