From a young age, learning about space was very exciting. In elementary school, we had a field trip where we had a sleepover at the science museum. The most memorable moment that night was watching a show in the planetarium. As the seats leaned backed, the room went completely dark. Suddenly, the ceiling started to twinkle as the different constellations began to take form and I remember feeling as if I was floating amongst the stars. It is frightening, yet inspiring to know that humans are extremely microscopic compared to everything in the universe. Outer space reminds me to see things in perspective and just to simply be a better human being. Planet Earth’s proximity to the moon and rotation around sun creates such a delicate balance that allows human life to thrive and seasons to cycle.
