The Addition of Armstrong Day
I believe that the new national holiday should celebrate Neil Armstrong’s first walk on the moon. This event shows that even if the task seems impossible, we can do it. This was a huge accomplishment for America, as we were the first country in the world to perform a moonwalk. When we were in Cold War with the Soviet Union, the Soviet Union were the first country to have a living human in space (Seeker). We had to be the first ones to walk on the moon (Seeker). Neil Armstrong claimed victory for us all, therefore claiming a big accomplishment in American history.
