Introduction:
I have to tell you I am challenged and excited. My excitement is; I get a chance to give something back. My challenge is; the shortest workshop I usually do is 20 hours. [Laughter] I’m not overstating. In any case, I do weekends, and many more and likewise coach people. The bottom line of why I’m here, is that I'm not here to persuade you. Obviously you don’t need that. What's more, that is the farthest thing from it. 1. The Bad News Bears: People who can’t wait to reveal the negative. They can’t wait to tell you that someone made a mistake and the manager is pissed off and they might be in trouble. And as much as they love to share the negativity but it is very draining for you! Researches stated that negativity in workplace cause toxic environment that effects on your mental, physical and emotional health.
• How to deal with it? If there is one, walk away. AVOID THEM! They certainly do not deserve your time so try to come up with. Try to leave the conversation smoothly and quickly. Use quick getaways like “ I have an important phone call to answer” or “ I have something important to work on for the meeting”
2. The Gossiper: Usually there are rumors in the corporate environment that never stop. As for example someone is hired or someone got a raise or even fired. Repeated over and over. By people who loves coming up with fake scenarios of what is going on
• How to deal with it? By excusing yourself from the conversation. Usually gossipers get so excited to spread those rumors so if you ask for facts then you are taking all the fun out of it for them. Also express helplessness and low interest in what they are talking
