Many don’t know how much people actually see. Bad information getting out has cost many their job interviews and jobs (Gray 33). If one is photographed in a photo with alcohol or drugs, even though they may have done nothing wrong, disciplinary actions are taken just as if they had (Gray 33). Photos or messages teens are not aware about themselves in can cost more than a rumor or two at school. Schools offer many internet safety programs but many students are bored with them or feel as if they are already safe. The students do not take time to learn and understand safety rules (Gray 32). Some companies spend 1 to 2 hours working on post to post to their social media accounts when they could be working on more important tasks (McCrea 74). The posts have to be well thought out and cannot just be posting at random or whatever they want (McCrea 76).
