Negative Symptoms Of Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia is a severe mental disorder with positive and negative symptoms. The positive symptoms are delusions, hallucinations, disorganized thought, and disorganized or abnormal motor behaviors while the negative symptoms are restricted emotional expression or affect and avolition.
Delusions are beliefs that are not true. An example of this could be a belief that someone trying to hurt them. Hallucinations are hearing voices that are not there. Disorganized speech is when an individual with schizophrenia is incomprehensible. The negative symptom, which is restricted emotional expression, is when an individual has few or none emotions. They will also avoid eye contact and/or avoid communicating about it. There is research that states individuals
