The general public sees African Americans as thieves and thugs, the reason I say this is I work in a retail store, and whenever a black person walks in with a bag or look at “certain way,” management immediately tells us to follow them and ask them questions and so on. When I first saw this, I thought to myself, maybe it’s just my store, but I remember once went to another retail outlet after school, and the same thing happened to me they keep following me around asking all types of questions. In fact, I guarantee if you ask any African American men if they have been discriminated against in a retail store, at least, 95% of them will say yes. I guess it’s the consensus that all black men steal. One of the things I’ve seen lately is how others call black men thugs and uneducated. I remember watching the NFC championship three years ago, and they were interviewing one of the players, and he very outspoken during the interview, he bragged about how "I 'm the best player in the league," he 's emotional and loud which is understandable considering he just won a championship. The next day I’m watching the same video on YouTube and reading the comments, and all I’m seeing is how he’s a thug and uneducated because of the way he acted during the interview, which is not true at all.
