Stereotypes. What do you first think of when you hear the word? Do you think of something negative? Or something positive? A stereotype is a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing. Stereotypes can push people to think of you as something you are not. They can be positive, but not very often. As the definition states, they are fixed and oversimplified beliefs. I believe that stereotypes impact people’s lives more negatively than positively.
