Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen.
Today I stand here infront you not just as a person, but as a survivor. What made me a survivor is not something unique. What I have been through is something that thousands of children go through on a daily basis. It has the power to change lives completely, both physically and emotionally; the power to alter a persons confidence and personality. As some of you may have guessed, I am talking about the menace of bullying. Students who are easily manipulated and are effected by words usually tend to be easy targets for bullies as they can easily be intimidated and pushed around. These students who are targeted have a different perspective of school life, as students who don’t get bullied see school as a joyous place filled with opportunities, however as opposed to bullied students, they see school as a battlefield, in which they have to tackle a variety of obstacles and hurdles. And eventually there comes a time where the victim is unable to tackle anymore obstacles and losses the will to fight any further. This leaves the victim only the option to escape the nonsense of the world, to abscond from this world full of chaos, tension and fear. This option is unfortunately, suicide. Students who are victims often struggle to focus and concentrate on their work, as they always have a sense of fear in regards to what the bullies next move might be. This distraction for the victims in class not only impacts school life but future to, due to the reason being
