This is the equivalent to the population of Wales.”(2) Cases regarding abuse and rape have never decreased. Never. Not even by a percent. In fact it’s rocketing and this fact is haunting me. Imagine the current number of victims when it was already 3 million by 2006. Doesn’t it mean that by now, it could have rocketed up to a number of 20 countries in addition? There are even sayings like “men are the head of family and women are the neck that turns the head”. (5)Does this mean that women can only assist men in their families? Its ironic how I am fighting for the rights of women when my dearest mother lives by the saying. Why can’t the women of the family decide what she wants to be without asking for permission from men? “In the US, statistics have proven that women are earning at least 75% or more of the men’s earnings”(6) so why are women still having a lower status than men? I could only say that we are being hypocritical by saying that we are making the world a place of
