I am a firm believer that the culture, beliefs, and attitude of minorities, specifically Latinos and African Americans built the United States of America. It breaks my heart to see that the world that we build we have such little involvement in. In the media, we, African-Americans, are mentioned in a negative way 99.9% of the time. I feel as though this has much to do with the fact that most media outlets are run by white people. Continuing to diversify the numbers in the media will help to limit the negative representation of minorities in the media.
