Temporary Problems and Permanent Solutions In this beautiful yet toxic world, there are multitudes of people hurting. They are in so much pain that they believe they can no longer continue to live.. This belief results in suicide. However, the person going through with it, is not going to be the only one hurt. Someone once said “Because if you kill yourself, you’re also going to kill the people who love you.” This quote happens to be one of the most accurate representations of what happens when family and friends are dealing with the aftermath of suicide. It is also a valid reason of why suicide should not occur. People will be missed by others regardless of how many friends they have. When someone does not show up to school, teachers might suspect something is wrong. However, they will not know how awful the situation is until they hear news that a student has killed themselves. The teachers that were so hard on that student might even retire fearing that they might have been part of the cause. The student’s peers soon hear of this and they are heartbroken. They wonder what they could have done to comfort them. More than that though they fear that maybe they did something to cause it. “If a student dies by suicide, many schools or communities immediately organize grief programs to help classmates survive the loss”, according to Kuehn. These programs are known as postvention programs. Postvention helps the students who are dealing with anger, fear, shame, guilt, and other …show more content…
They may be depressed or maybe they made a mistake. They might feel like there is no option other than death. There are many sufficient reasons for someone to have aspirations of being dead. Regardless of these aspirations, they should realize just how much they will hurt other people when they kill themselves. There is almost always going to be someone affected by self inflicted death. Life tends to improve especially when it is feeling awful. John Lennon once said “Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end.” This quote means that people can change their life. They can become better. The worst circumstances that have occurred can end up opening new doors to better opportunities ahead. A broken heart can heal as long as it is still
