For every parent, watching their child grow up can be one of the toughest milestones in life. But, as generations past many children are simply not living as children anymore. The impact of social medias and television negatively influence children, often creating curiosity in children. Even at the earliest ages children are partaking in activities not suitable for their own age. I have an issue with the negative effects that are left on children due to television, social medias and materialistic items from a personal experience. My solution to this issue is to have more parental control over a child’s TV watching and Internet surfing. Most individuals would blame technology, or media for the incline of maturity in children. According to both Kevin Browne and Catherine Hamilton-Giachritsis, they were included in a composition of a journal that raised the issue of violent media on children and adolescent. The term “rote learning” implies “the brain digesting thousands of examples and thereby shaping synaptic connections, a process usually referred to as neuroplasticity.” (Spitzer) In the journal, it contained information on a quantity of studies that indicated the influences of violent media on children.
