According to www.nveee.org, every 7 minutes a child id bullied, there is 4% of adult intervention, 11% peer intervention, and 85% of no intervention. Students are bullied for many reasons, one reason is a bully craves power and the only way they think they can get that power is to bully others. Bullies become bullies because maybe there is something going on in their home. In most high schools, 15% of teenagers have been bullied in 2016. Yet in lower grades, such as 4th-12th, 49% of students get bullied. Out of all those bullied kids only 30.8% have the guts to report their bullying to others that can and will help. On the first offence of bullying there is a one day suspension, the second offence of bullying is 10 days of suspension, and lastly the third offence of bullying is a 10 day suspension and expulsion.
