If at first an individual doesn’t need medication it will only be a matter of time before that person will have to start taking medications to get their diabetes under control. If an individual does not take proper care of their type 2 diabetes the buildup of glucose will lead to other health complications. Some of these complications can include damage to the eyes, kidneys, and heart, dehydration, or a diabetic coma. A diabetic coma is when a person with type 2 diabetes becomes severely dehydrated or ill and cannot drink enough fluids.
