Will Common Core Standards lead to more problems in our education system?
Common Core Standards are one of the worst things to happen to public education.The people who wrote the standards don't know what impact they are having on education. Students are made to work on programs such as Odyssey that are boring and usually not grade-appropriate. Also, educators make us take tests for people to judge us on even though only 13% of teachers think the tests are grade-appropriate (Walker). We need to start taking fewer tests and start caring more about what we need to do.
Common Core Standards is very frustrating and testing is happening so often it is taking away from learning time. Arizona is trying to change the Common Core Standard because they think a fresh start will be good for the kids.
