Being a gamer myself i have seen and experienced first hand that videogames have helped me in my life. I can remember the first time I ever played a video game. I was at a friends house when I was 7 years old. He had this old black Sega game console that looked like the coolest thing ever. He was playing Sonic, a game where you lay as this hedgehog that can run super fast. The object of the game was to beat the level with the most coins and the fastest time possible. This type of game is called a platformer. A platformer is a type of game genre that was extraordinarily popular during that time. I being really young was asd you might expect was not very good at the game. But over time I learned how to predict the enemy's movements and become a master in my opinion at the game. The game had taught me how to think ahead and to anticipate the moves of the enemies. After practising I had learned to think about what would happen next. This did not only happen in the video game I also noticed that in certain situations I found myself thinking ahead and trying to predict what would happen. One thing that kids these days lack is the ability to think ahead and understand the consequences of their actions. As I got older I got my own game console called the PlayStation 2. This led me to getting more advanced games that furthered my knowledge and memorization skills; yes I said memorization. When you start playing video games without realizing it you are using you memory for everything. When you get that now game you might have to look at the controller's buttons and test them to see what they do. After a while you will memorize eac button and you won't have to look down at the controller. If you play games that have lots of levels every time you play them you remember more and more of that level being to do things that you
