Tchoubi, Sobngwi-Tambekou, Noubiap, Asangbeh, Nkoum, Sobngwi (2015) conducted a study to determine the prevalence and risk factors of overweight and obesity among children aged 6 months to 5 years in Cameroon in 2011. This study under lines a high prevalence of early childhood overweight with significant disparities between ecological areas of Cameroon. Regardless of age, there are several risks of being overweight or obese. Risk factors of overweight included high maternal BMI, high birth weight, male gender, low birth rank, aged between 13 – 36 months. As a result, there were more boys than girls being overweight. People need to stick with their diet and make better food choices. Experts recommend a blend of diets, emphasizing portion control, calorie-counting, self-monitoring, and gradual increases in activity, starting with everyday activities (Marks, 2004). Yet if people don’t practice this measures, they will not loss any weight, in the other hand they could gain weight. There are several people willing to help. See a doctor and talk to family and friends for support, and then begin to make the changes. It not easy for people to lose weight, but everything its possible. People just have to be positive about themselves and believe in themselves and actually stick with their diets.
Obesity is caused by a number of different factors. Regardless of what causes obesity it is a serious problem that seems to be increasing on a daily basis. It is up to everyone to put an end to obesity. People have to find an end to obesity and look for resources, perhaps new thing to do.
