Video games divide into different types, namely: role-playing-games, simulators, shooting, action, strategy, horror games etc. The vast majority of such games include a great deal of scenes of graphic violence. Violence in these games means brutality, torture, killing, a large quantity of blood and amputations. Due to this, there has been a lot of discussion about the impact of such games on mental health and youth aggression among social scientists for several decades. It still cannot be determined whether there are more beneficial or detrimental effects on children. Consequently, the main aim of this work will be focused on the influence of video games on psyche of adolescents, both positive and negative sides. Despite the fact that along with negative, there are positive effects of playing video games, restricting this type of leisure activity would be beneficial due to development of aggression level among children. …show more content…
This makes children leave their responsibilities behind, such as homework, house chores, and other physical activities. As a consequence, they prefer playing video games rather than real sports which include elementary physical exercises. Such an attitude may lead to development of different health-related problems. For instance, they become obese without doing any exercises and staying at home playing video games. When a child spends a lot of time in front of computer screen and he or she becomes socially isolated, which means that a child will not be able to make new friends and interact with people.
