Pollution increased, working conditions were bad with the employment of women and young children having to work long and tough hours. Along with the great jump in technology, there was an overall downfall in the socioeconomic and cultural state of the people. Development of cities was one of the major consequences of the Industrial Revolution. Many people were determined to the cities to look for work, in turn the ended living in the cities that could not support them. With the new industrial age, a new measurable and materialistic view of the world took place. This caused the need for people to devour as much as they could. This still happens today. Living on small wages that required small children for labor in factories for long days. This Revolution was not a good revolution for the planet. Ever since the start, the factories and industries have enlarged the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere by two-folds. Also in our drive for consumerism, our planets ordinary resources are being shortened at an alarming rate. There were many benefits nationwide of this revolution. An important aspect is that there became many more goods available because of the mass-production. Due to this mass-production, the goods also dropped in price, which significantly benefited those who were struggling financially. Along with the processing of mass came more employment opportunities. This led to the allowance certain people of the less fortunate to have a chance of getting a job. The increase of new ideas and creations led to a development of the quality of life. Healing products became more transportation improved, and free education was available. People began to find themselves with more relaxation time. Wages were increased, health benefits became available, and eventually, pension became accessible to those who retired. These are just some of the many aspects of the revolution that helped the people as a nation, which made them happier, and made the government safer from rebellion. There is still one more part of this revolution and that is the results of it on present day. Without the inventions and changes that took place to form a better society, we wouldn't be where we are today. Without labor laws and health benefits, the life suspense of a human would drop to at least 20 years.
