Social Media is used all over the world; people can connect social media accounts on their phones, computers and tablets. This can be used to connect to family and friends living in a different cities, states, or countries. Social Media accounts include Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest, etc. Social Media is a concept that anyone can use, some people use it to connect with family and friends, some use it to connect with customers and consumers, and others use it to promote a movie or product. Before the 1960’s, many businesses were created and still exist now. These businesses did not use phones, tablets, etc to create a successful business. Many of these businesses used TV to get the word out about their business. Back then, many people were out and about, traveling to different places and not staying home which helped businesses grow. For example, “Macy’s” was created before the 20th century and now is one the most successful and go-to department stores to shop.
