The device that was once solely used for making phone calls when away from a landline has evolved into perhaps the most influential technological device in history. Smartphones are popular amongst multiple demographics, from children who have only recently learned their first words to elderly citizens. The uses for smartphones are endless as there millions of applications that can help simplify almost all aspects of one’s life or quite simply provide one with entertainment. With nearly any topic one can think of there is most likely an application associated with the subject matter. A few examples of popular use of smartphones include navigation, video games, social media, and everyday applications such as “Weather” and “Reminders”. People all over the world seek to posses the most up to date, and in many cases the best, mobile phone available. And it is because of this that there is an immense amount of resources that go into the creation of new smartphone innovations, which leads to the annual release of new phones. If one opens up a web page or is watching a television program it is likely that one will see at least one advertisement relating to a new smartphone. Each and every advertisement is aiming to convince the consumer that their product is superior to the rest.
