All over the world, music is a part of almost people that they can’t live without it. Classical music, folk music, non-lyrical music are some of the most beautiful kinds of music. Music can help people boosting their moods, encouraging, or refreshing them. However, everything always come out with two categories: “good and bad”. In recently world, music runs along with the trend taste of young people. The desires are increasing, so three quarters of the songs come out with non-sense lyrics songs, or violent lyrics songs. The most two types of music have explicit language are rap and hip-hop music. These music types have the quality of being arrogant, violent, and high self-esteem. Therefore, it has significant effects on young listeners. It’s about racism, and greed or desire. Furthermore, people can easily recognize that most of the popular songs seem has the same themes as breakup, pain, regret, sadness. These themes fit for most of the situations of young listeners. Those are the reasons why these kinds of songs popular, and young listeners keep listening to these kinds of music. According to a new report in The Archives of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, it shows that “one in three popular songs contains explicit references to drug or alcohol use”. Teenagers can easily access to the music sites out of the earshot of parents, and they spend an average of nearly 2.5 hours on listening to music per day. In the technology world, music is not only the rhythms, melodies or lyrics part, it also has videos or short clips to illustrate for the songs. As a results, the explicit lyrics correspond to the videos have the tone of sexual, drug, alcohol, or violence content. They are rapidly present on almost of the popular songs of today. Those media influences harm young people’s mind. It makes young people have bad behaviors, or habits.
