Living in a capitalistic society and the most-connected-world than ever, the young US generations are facing a new challenge of finding their true selves. People actually could avoid the traps of social conformity and self-actualize by taking few small changes. Individuals could limit to get exposed by the media by escaping from their own comfort-zones, since this is where the advertisers mostly target us. For example, today is the President Day with a wonderful weather in California. Instead of spending wasteful hours a day on Facebook or watching TV at home, we could try to go outside and explore the world. This does not necessarily mean that one should completely be off to the technology, however, it would be good if one could restrict the time spending on Facebook from hours to minutes a day. In addition, for an individual to become fully self-actualized, they should take changes and challenge the established conformities regardless of what others think, which actually hard than it seems because we are living in the world of group-thinking, where opposite ideas from the crowds usually get blamed the most.
