Facebook, Twitter, Kik, Instagram, these social media sites were nonexistent 18-years ago when my parents, aunts, and uncles were in high school. Now today, it seems as if we are living in a world that is driven more by the Internet than actual face to face conversation and interaction. With one simple click, people can now have a face to face conversation from the comforts of their home using a computer or smart phone.

There are many pros and cons to allowing children to have access to the Internet. One of the positive effects is a teacher using it as a teaching tool. Another positive effect of having children exposed to the Internet is that it teaches them responsibility. Another positive effect of having children exposed to the Internet
