Hammurabi invented Hammurabi’s Code (282) in Mesopotamia nearly 4,000 years ago. Hammurabi’s Code was not just because it hurt the family, negatively affected personal property, and was not fair against personal injury . First of all, Hammurabi’s Code hurt the family. For example, in law 195 if a son hit his father they will cut off his hands. Also, in law 129 if a woman is caught cheating with another man they shall bind them and cast them into the water. I think almost all the Laws about family are only fair to men. This shows that the Laws regarding family are mostly only fair to men.
