Is global warming still a legitimate threat to this planet? The issue of global warming is currently still debated throughout the world from political battles, news articles, and even scientific research defining our planet 's status. Looking over several articles about the topic, provides enough information to conclude that the issue of global warming and how we are abusing the planet will determine our next generation 's lifestyle and even their lives. The main cause of global warming is the increased rate of greenhouse gasses being emitted into the atmosphere, but the greatest contribution to this is the releasing of carbon dioxide. He boldly proclaims that carbon pollution or Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is heating our planet, which is resulting in an increase in droughts, floods and wildfires that threaten the future of our children. (Qtd in Robbins)” in addition to Obama 's statement, Robbins supports this statement with giving real evidence that there is an overwhelming amount of scientific evidence that greatly disproves the theory of manmade global warming (Robbins).
