Negative Impacts Of Climate Change

The dictionary defines climate change as a weather change. However, from a scientific perspective it is a change in global climate pattern, and it is a long-term change in average weather conditions that is most affected by human activities. According to the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the carbon dioxide is 40% higher than preindustrial times. It can be stated that the main concept of climate change is the increase levels of carbon dioxide, produced by the use of fossil fuels and human activities. Thus, will negatively affects the Ozone Layer that is protecting our Earth. If people did not care about what we are facing then this means that climate change will increase and other related issues such as the …show more content…
According to Brown, raising sea levels are due the massive and accelerate rate of ice-melt. Many of ice are decreasing which would affect us negatively and this would increase the Earth temperature. Everything in this world is for a reason and if one of these are missed than our ecosystem would be affected negatively and many issues would arise. Moreover, Brown mentioned about that climate change affect our economics because of the natural disaster and because of the increase in temperature. The reason is that when temperature increase, many of our food production would be affected and then a lot of people could not afford to buy food such as people in poor countries. Brown plan is to stable the world population at 8 billion by 2040. The reason is that there are a lot of things that should be considered rather than carbon dioxide. So, by stabilizing population we will help to decrease population such as in China. China is known for their air population because of the industrial practices. They also violate the carrying capacity theory, which means that the limits of a specific land’s capability to support people and their activities.
LEED is one of the organizations that recognize the effects of climate change. They establish categories for new building construction and design to be more environmental friendly. They certified building and rate them silver, gold, and platinum. This shows that the building is using recycle materials and produce less carbon dioxide by selecting local materials. Moreover, it help to create a building with lower life cycle cost and higher

The warming trend that is associated with climate change could have enormous consequences economically. Eventually, disruptions caused by weather and other factors could lead to lost work and school days, which directly translates to a decrease in trade, transportation, agriculture, and tourism (“Climate Hot Map”). Many localized economies that are dependent upon tourism would be crippled, as air travel delays would slowly cause a decline in vacationing. Power outages and traffic would be more than just headaches; they would equate to insurmountable losses in the output of the worldwide economy, as several hours of the workday could be lost. The extreme weather events attributed to global warming would cause serious damage financially for those paying for the extensive repairs (“Climate Hot Map”).…

The IPCC, said in its 2013 report that “even modest warming may drive large increases in transmission of malaria, if conditions are otherwise suitable.” Sea level are also rising due to glaciers melting. The increasing CO2 emissions from fossil fuel combustion have led to an exponential increase in the net amount of CO2 being dissolved in the ocean. Dissolved CO2 creates carbonic acid, which reduces the ocean pH level, making it more acidic. This is bad as it would very likely have a major impact on the ocean life. If the CO2 concentration continues to rise and the pH level continues to fall at current rates, the ocean pH could drop by as much as 0.5 during the 22nd…

Scientists that study climate change and greenhouse gases conclude that “we now have overwhelming evidence that human emission of greenhouse gases has already begun to change the climate and it will continue to do so unless emissions are halted” (Oppenheimer and Antilla-Hughes). This quote proves that the emissions of greenhouse gases is the utmost factor in climate change. If we do not do anything about climate change now and continue to contribute to this global problem, future generations will be affected extremely negatively. The changes in precipitation that are created by climate change will cause some places in the world to become drier and other places much wetter. This means that the water will not be dispersed evenly anymore, leaving families in the dry without water access or rising water prices that will definitely not be affordable to the poor.…

Anthropogenic climate change is a major issue in the world today, there are detrimental physical risks that will happen around the world if control is not taken by our citizens. Changes in our world such as sea level rising as a result of ice sheets melting, intense and extreme weather, destruction of marine food, changes in precipitation patterns, changes in ocean’s circulation and acidification. Climate change will also impact the water and energy scarcities and destroy living organisms, such as plants and animals and even human life. In order to understand the magnitude of the problem, we first have to understand what is anthropogenic climate change. Anthropogenic climate change occurs when the energy from the sun travels in form of short-wave intra-red radiation,…

The scientists fear that one day the temperature of the earth would be significantly changed that the survival of the future generation would become impossible. This fear has caused many issues that the higher level of research has started by the biologists and the scientist for saving the future of the generation. Many kinds of significant diseases have been caused by the earth which is due to the impacts of the global warming. In addition, the rise of temperature also is a major problem of climate change. The rising temperature can reduce the crop production and destroy farmland and make people living in unbearable hot condition. Vidal (2013) reports that land and sea temperatures are predicted to rise by 4C next 100 years. Higher temperate could reduce food supply and leads to more weather disasters. Furthermore, another problem is more intense and unusual rainfall in some developing countries.…

Some of the effects are already being felt in parts of the world. The poles of the earth is where global warming is being most affected. Due to this the ice caps are melting, the sea is becoming warmer and the rise of the sea level. With the ice caps melting, polar animals that live on these glaciers will suffer, because they will not have a place to sleep or rest. Also, the sea levels will rise due to ice melting and people who live near the shores all across the world will slowing watch the water creeping up the shore.…

Global warming since then generally define as a gradually increasing in temperature, which results in changing global climate permanently. Earth 's climate has been negatively influenced by many direct and indirect ways. Humans can severely damage the quality of climate. Most people are not aware that actions contribute to the decay of the Earth through time. Much research has been focused on the effects of global warming, as a direct result of the elevation of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, which originally from global industrialization and modernization.…
