Special Yoga
The East Naples Library at 8787 Tamiami Trail is offering an ongoing Chair Yoga class on Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. for seniors of all skill levels. Seniors in a wheelchair are also welcome. Stretches and movements are done in a chair or with the support of one. This fun class will help seniors strengthen their muscles and loosen stiff joints.
Needlepoint
The Naples Senior Center at 5025 Castello Drive offers needlepointing classes every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Seniors will learn the basics of needlepointing, valuable tips and have fun making lovely projects. The Greater Naples YMCA at 5450 YMCA Road offers a senior-focused AIM, Adults in Motion, Pilates classes on Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. In this class, seniors will be taught a combination of movements and breathing exercises that will help them restore and strengthen their body and energize their spirit.
Learn a Sport
The Veterans Community Park at 1895 Veterans Park Drive offers adult tennis classes for beginners on Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Seniors will learn or improve their tennis skills and get acquainted with playing partners with the guidance of a certified professional.
