A hospital crossed-section study on the prevalence of needle stick injury and their reporting in Orthopedic wards in GH Melaka had been conducted by Bhardwaj, Sivapathasundaram, Minghat, Swe and Sinha in 2013.The authors had used qualitative method, which utilized the structured questionnaires as their instrument. The participants involved are the entire healthcare workers worked in the orthopedic ward with total numbers of 153 staffs. There are total 32 cases reported in the study and majority happened in male staff, more on junior doctors. (Bhardwaj, Sivapathasundaram, Minghat, Swe and Sinha, 2014) Among the healthcare workers, medical officer and house officer shared the same percentages of 37.5 in the needle stick injury
