Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen was a dramatic poem with lots of depth involved in it. This poem is based on a man and women who fell in love with each other and then it took a drastic turn. This poem represents love in a whole new way. It shows that two people in love can go through anything and still love one another even through death. This poem also shows that love can make you do crazy things. This man showed his undying love for the women and even wanted her to be there when he died. This poem starts with a happy beginning, with a man spotting a girl just sanding in her own yard and immediately fell in love with her. Then it talks about how they went for a ride and enjoyed some time together. This is where the attitude of the poem changes. Something happens to the girl he fell in love with and she is no longer with him. He begins to fill up with anger and decides to go and commit crimes. He began killing everything from Nebraska to Wyoming, without a care in the world. He decided to carry a gun with him to commit these crimes, which might symbol how she died because it doesn’t specify. …show more content…
Love can trigger emotions that you never thought you had. Most people would have felt guilty for committing so many crimes but he couldn’t because he felt that there was only a connection with her when he did something wrong. When he was with her, he felt joy and happiness. This made him want to be with her even if that might dying to do so. Killing people in his way was connecting them through his anger for losing her. He felt guilty about her dying so he made a point not to care about anyone else
