Unwind most likely was accepted due to the fact that it helps society earn tons of money. Unwinding creates business. Well, if one looks even deeper into unwinding, it is possible to understand that human organs were sold out for others to use instead of just letting people get the part free. Zachary became a mouth breather because his lungs got asthma. However, these lungs weren’t his, it was from an unwind- Harlan Dunfee, son of the leader of the Graveyard. The novel stated, "When I was little, I was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. Both my lungs were shutting down. I was gonna die. So they took out both my dying lungs and gave me a single lung from an Unwind."..."Like I said, the lung's got asthma. It was the best we could afford." The most important part of the quote said by Zachary is the best we could afford. It shows an example that the society is doing some business out of dead kids. They had to lower the price of the lungs to make it cheaper for people purchasing, these lungs weren’t as great as others. Zachary was then able to purchase it as a replacement of his dying lungs. People might think this being something good for society, but this does not benefit lower class people (people who are poor). Zachary (Emby) was a good example, his parents didn’t have enough money to get him good lungs, which is why he said that it was the best they can get out of all. Well, the “Unwind” novel showed examples of both point of views, depending on how one look at these examples. Unwinding can benefit society because it allows anyone to continue their life in the way they usually were by giving these people a new part. As it is clear, Connor stated, "So..you got dealt a new hand." Connor after seeing the truck driver performing magic tricks in the truck states this quote. The meaning of this is that the truck driver received a second chance. He might have lost his first chance which was his original hand, however, he is allowed to get a second chance and even more chances as long as he had money to purchase one. Well, that is still not enough, unwinding should be claimed to be deleterious. As it is shown, anyone is allowed to receive another chance. For example, CyFi received this temporal lobe, a part of the brain (⅛) from Tyler (already unwound). However, due to the fact that Tyler likes to steal shiny things like diamond bracelets, his part given to CyFi will make CyFi steal just like him. Unwinding will be a new way to increase criminals. If criminals were unwound and their parts (more likely to be hands) were used by someone else, these people who received the part would also be a criminal. Unwinding would not be beneficial, instead it would just make society
