Nba Player: A Short Story

Improved Essays
First off when I was a little boy I always wanted to become a Nba player. My dad always told me they worked hard to get there. I was a smart boy getting all A’s on my report card. So I was willing to do anything to achieve my goal to become an Nba player. So my dad always trained me to become better , my brother and I.

When we went to basketball courts my dad told me to play with the bigger boy’s. Inside I was scared shaking with fear . I told him they’re to big he said “you’ll be fine they’re going to make you better.” When I was playing I noticed that I could handle playing with them. When the game was over my dad and I ,was going home in the car he asked, “Now that wasn’t hard was it”?

I replied “Actually it wasn’t at all. As we pulled in the smooth driveway he told me ,”Never give up “. After dinner I went up to my comfortable king sized bed. I said to myself “ I will be great.” The next day I woke up smelling the good smell of maple syrup and, perfectly cooked pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon ,grits and, last but not least sausage patties. That is my favorite meal for breakfast.

When Kobe Bryant said he would forgo college and take his talents to the NBA the journey to greatness began. I think this is the only thing I didn't enjoy about Kobe Bryant's career when he was drafted 13th overall to the Charlotte Hornets then traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. He quickly became a Hollywood star transforming the Lakers organization once again. He helped the NBA transition from the tail end of Michael Jordan's career to the Kobe era and realize they would be just fine.…
