Nazis Concentration Camps During The Holocaust

Most people when they think of a camp they would think of a place where you go to get away and have fun with your friends. Well the Nazis had a different version of “fun” in their concentration camps. So what are these concentration camps that the Nazis assembled, where were most of them located, and what were they used for? First and foremost, concentration camps were places made by the Nazis to kill certain races. In fact, “the term concentration camp refers to a camp in which people are detained or confined, usually under harsh conditions and without regard to the legal norms of arrest and imprisonment that are acceptable in a constitutional democracy,”(United States Holocaust Memorial Museum 2017). This means that if you were arrested back then in Germany you would be sent to one of these camps and be treated like you're a mutt. For example, if you were Jewish or Polish and got arrested, even if it was for nothing, you would be sent to one of these concentration camps and have to either work or be put to death almost immediately.
