The last two weeks my classmate presented about the narcissism. The meaning of narcissism is “inordinate fascination with oneself; excessive self-love; vanity” (…………, n.d.). People who this personality, they will only interest in his or her self. Rosenthal & Pittinsky defined that “Narcissistic leaders have grandiose belief systems and leadership styles, and are generally motivated by their needs for power and admiration rather than empathetic concern for the constituents and institutions they lead” (2006, para.1). When people who work in organizations, they will not care other thinking or feeling. They would like to concern only their achievement. I faced with the narcissism people. When I worked as a sale assistant at a Japanese company. My senior coworker was this type of the personality. She was always blame on me when it had mistaking results or works. For example, she told me to do the quotation for customers, plus profit around ten percent and I submit this to customers. After one to two days, she yelled at me about why plus the profit only ten percent, it should more than twenty percent. I show the evidence about her order. During at that time, she was always say she never do the mistaking before how come she had a mistaking. When she knew it was her mistake, she just told very quiet. The situation made me very upset and she did not any apologize. For me I think when you work everyone can have a mistake, but you can learn from it. So, I worked in this company only six months. It will be good that I learn how to deal of this person because it will have the kind of personality in everywhere of the workplace. I cannot escape from the situation. Moreover, I will not do like this when I have a power or higher position with other people. When I do not thing, other people will not like too. I will try to put myself to other’s shoes.
