Navy Summer Seminar

Decent Essays
I would like to attend the United States Navy Summer Seminar because I have been aspiring to look into the Navy. With both of my parents retired Navy veterans, my want to serve this country started when I was young. Even from a young age, I could see the amount of respect they gained and I now can only hope to receive the same in my lifetime. I believe that attending the Summer Seminar will help me decide what I want to do with my future. I recently received the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists Award of Excellence which is awarded to students that excel in the learning field of medicine and sciences. I will be attending a three-day conference in Massachusetts this summer to receive the award and meet Nobel Prize

From its initial vision of guerre de course, privateering, and border protection to its seasoned vision of imperial expansion and global occupation through and in the world’s oceans. Throughout its transformation the Department of the Navy has interacted with Congress to debate its role and provide a suitable mission. In the beginning days of the newly freed and independent America, and even before its independence during the revolution, Congress did not want a large militarized navy, only a navy capable of trade to bolster its economy and protect its borders.
