NPC Customer Service Center (CSC) opened a live chat option on the Navy Personnel Command website 3 January 2017. The live chat function is available from 0700 to 1900 Central Standard Time (CST) Monday-Friday. Sailors, families, and retirees now have the ability to chat directly with NPC representatives without the need for a long distance phone connection. The CSC supports active duty, family members, and retired service members by answering questions on a wide range of topics including career information, selection boards, distribution, and Navy records maintenance. In addition to these changes, some of the participating DoD Preferred commercial lodging properties at the existing pilot sites will change in January.
