Things that interest me are few in quantity however, I make sure that I take my time with them. For example, painting with acrylics, playing the piano, or reading a good book. I like to invest my time into one at a time like a cycle. This way I don't rush through and I can learn something new or be able to express myself in a more fulfilling way. Nonetheless, my accomplishments are almost as few as my interest when I am high, I make sure that I reap a reward. During the two years of participating in my high school's Navy Junior ROTC program, I came to earn ribbons as well as medals. Including ribbons for leadership, volunteering, and for my GPA. Although this is true each medal I have received from this program has a need for a leadership quality being present. …show more content…
During my Senior year of piano, I participated in solo UIL. Afterward, I was granted a 1 on my piano solo with a medal as a reward. Despite this though my goal for the not too distant future is to become a veterinarian. The reason being is that I've grown up surrounded by animals all of my life. My mother would often take in an injured cat or bird and try her best to help it live and get well. In spite of this though she is not a veterinarian nor does she have the proper background. However, she knew that in order to save their lives she would have to help them out some to make sure that they had a fighting chance if we did give them to a shelter. Owing to this fact, I've seriously have taken an interest in becoming a veterinarian and have made it my goal in life. For, I would like those that can not speak up for themselves and help their owners who do not know what they should do. This is my goal in becoming a veterinarian that helps both animals and

In Junior ROTC, I learned many different ways to not only help myself but to also help others. I have seen that many young adults in this generation and country believe that it is “too hard” to go help others. Whether or not the service is small, picking up trash for example, or something large, something should be done and you should get involved. Getting involved with the community and the people around you because in the JROTC mission statement you are basically trying to help others and yourself become a better citizen.…

As honors students, we thrive on achievements. Tangible achievements are what, for many of us, ensure that we have accomplished our goals. For this reason, when I learned about the “Honor Cadet of the Flight” award at Civil Air Patrol Encampment, I was determined to achieve it. I tried extremely hard and made sure that everything I did displayed nothing less than excellence throughout the week. Because I was so determined to achieve that award, the setback came across disconcerted me greatly.…

Service with JusticeCorps is a natural fit for me, as the program synthesizes my primary interests: social justice and language. By craft, I am hyper-aware of the force of words; I want to build on my experience as a writer to use my skills in communication for the public interest. I believe that uncommon results necessitate uncommon effort, and this belief is reflected in my academic history. If one were to ask a young girl want she wants to be when she grows up, she would proudly say a princess, or maybe a rock star. I’ve never been the typical girl though and my answer was always different. Some days I wanted to be a dog trainer or a zookeeper and being a marine biologist wouldn’t be too bad. In middle school I realized what all these jobs had in common; animals. I knew whole heartedly that I wanted to work with them, to improve not only their health and welfare, but also that of the community they were in.…

The Humane Society is ran by few people, and there are hundreds of animals in there that need cared for. It’s hard for the lady’s to keep up on cleaning the place, while also care for each animal. I, years ago, did community service there and seeing the look on the woman’s face when I would do something or help her in any way was always rewarding. If I washed the walls, picked up dog poop, walked the dogs, played with the kittens, or bathed the animals she would sign with relief that that was one less thing that she had to worry about doing herself. She has a lot on her plate, and for someone to go in there to help out means a great deal to her.…
